We at SADMSA are international Researchers, Physiotherapists, Practitioners, Athletic Trainers, Personal Trainers and Nutritionists working in the field of South Asian Dance Medicine and Science. We are here to help you strive as professional dancers, teachers and students of South Asian Dance. We want the future of our young South Asian Dancers to be bright and healthy.

OUR AIMS

To promote safe dance practice amongst the many genres within South Asian Dancers
To disseminate multi-disciplinary research that is specific to improving the health, wellbeing and fitness of each genre within South Asian dance through our blog, facebook posts, workshops and conferences.

SADMSA TASTER DAY: SOUTH ASIAN DANCERS HEALTH

December 2nd 2018

Our launch event in collaboration with Trinity Laban Dance Science. 30 UK based South Asian dancers came to experience what SADMSA and Dance Science has to offer. Iyengar yoga/ Genre-specific Strength & Conditioning, HiiT, Physio talks, Dance Science lab tours and Restorative yoga to finish up the day.

CENTRE OF ARTS TRAINING (CAT) YUVAGATI

January 20th 2019

SADMSA co-founder Seema De Jorge-Chopra was invited to the CAT Yuvagati Kathak intensive to share her Strength & Conditioning expertise with the young budding artistes. This involved speed/ agility training, balance training, HiiT and nutrition. A hugely educational day for all!
